Wichita Looks Better Local: From Influencer Campaigns to Billboards

Role: Marketing Partner and Graphic Designer
Company: Specs Rx
Campaign: Wichita Looks Better Local

Wichita Looks Better Local began as a way to spotlight local businesses and creators through influencer campaigns. As the campaign grew, we brought that same local pride to the streets of Wichita with a series of Specs billboards featuring business owners, entrepreneurs, influencers and other familiar faces from the community.

Each billboard paired a featured person with Specs’ “Shops at Specs” message, celebrating the people who help make Wichita what it is. Sophii designed the billboard graphics, carrying the campaign’s look across the series while giving each person their own moment in the spotlight.

The Wichita portraits were photographed by Kim Stiffler Photography at the Wichita Real Producers Happy Hour hosted at Specs in August. The SocioBlendz billboard features a photo Erika Choriego took at the Specs After Hours with Socio and YBG Studios event in October.

The campaign also expanded to Hutchinson, where we created billboards that represent the Specs location and its community. We’ll share those in a separate post about Hutchinson Looks Better Local.
